Why I became an online marketer

Why I became an online marketer

Ever since I was young I have always been interested in advertising and marketing.I always wanted to know how everything worked, like most kids. I didn't know I wanted to become an online marketer, but I used to try and "figure out" the commercials on tv, like why the advertisers said what they said, why the actors did certain things, what colors they used, etc.Another one of my marketing memories is about a professional football player named Brian Bosworth, (better known as the Boz) the Seattle Seahawks famous linebacker who made quite a splash in 1987 after signing with the team.He immediately started branding his name with his over the top antics such as his then wild hairstyles, radical attitude, and riding a helicopter in on the practice field.Love him or not,he definitely made an impression. As a result of his popularity he had many followers and many "haters".One day Seattle was playing the Denver Broncos (a rival team), and at the game a vender was selling Anti-boz t-shirts.They sold like hot cakes. But guess who came out on top?Brian Bosworth"s company that sold the shirts to the Denver fans!  Now, I can't say that I'm a hug fan of either of the football teams, but the marketing team sure did get my attention and I did like their creative marketing ideas. For some of your own inspiration, try these entreprenuer ideas. That is just one of the many memories I've had that peaked my interest and curiosity about the skills you can develop to become a master marketer.

My realization

I don't know about you, but my parents didn't teach us much about wealth creation as I was growing up. I had no idea how to become an internet marketer or anything else about making a good living.I knew as a teenager how hard they worked just to scrape by to the next week.I would always hear them complaining about their day and I began to see how a regular job takes a toll on you, and your ambitions start to dull as you find yourself trapped in the daily grind. Not having the silver spoon in my breakfast cereal , I started my life out working first, and putting higher education off until later in life.I worked many construction related jobs, finding out that the only way to create more income was to take on more and more work. Then I started my own construction business, compounding the work load.It was a vicious cycle and I was caught, working sixty to seventy hours a week, trying to support a new wife with a baby on the way.I didn't have to be a marketer for this, beause there was more work than I could do! I never saw my family, never had fun and never even got to spend the money I was making because I was always on the jobs or looking at the next one.Construction jobs tend to run you instead of you running them, because the owners of commercial companies become very dependent on you and know they have you where they want you, that is as long as you still want their business. I knew I had to get of this train before it derailed.

How have you handled your career decisions?

The quest for a better life

Through my years as a "business owner" I started looking for a way out.I knew I needed an education about the one thing I had still been interested in,marketing.I bought one opportunity after another determined to find the answers I was craving. I took something from each of the systems I had purchased, and studied countless hours, but felt alone. No one knew why I wanted to become an online marketer, and I couldn't get any help from the suppliers I bought the material from.I remained determined and kept moving forward as I gave myself no alternative. It's about where you end up in life and I was going to reach my goal.I knew if I stayed with it I would find the right business idea I was looking for. Years later, my tireless search had ended.I found a company with a fresh, honest, moral approach to internet marketing and everything started to come together. Online marketers who own the company who really care if you succeed, a support system second to none, and good quality people to become friends with and learn from.A breath of fresh air!The fact is this is one of the most lucrative industries around today with progressive growth for years to come. There are many benefits for people curious about this lifestyle, including freedom to make your own hours, spend time with your family, passive income, no unnecessary commuting, multiple ways to create income streams, unlimited growth potential, all reasons I feel very fortunate to be a part of. As a piece of advice, never give up on something you are passionate about, having a great team of leaders around you is crucial, and if at times you feel like your running into a brick wall, remember you can go around it, it's easier! Gary, good stuff in this article. I agree that a company that believes if one succeeds then everyone can succeed is a great support for an entrepreneur. As for your vote box, I could not really answer. I have both worked a job for the money and did work that I loved no matter what the money was. Also, I have started working for money and came around to also loving the work. Not enough boxes for me, lol!

nice job Gary, I agree with you about the persistence. That is the whole answer. Internet marketing is not for sissies or for those who like to be told how to do their day. I am so glad we are all in this together and of like minds.!

Great hub. I am impressed with anyone who has made the jump from swapping their valuable time for some other guys cash with their hands, to doing it online. It certainly takes graft. Quality!
